FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I bring with me on the bus?
Take whatever makes your trip more comfortable. It is suggested that you bring a bag with your cosmetics, neck or waist pillows, light blanket, change of clothes, Bible, songbook, Daily Text, Study Watchtower and literature to read and place with people. You should use headphones with music and video games.
  • How much luggage can I take?
You can carry a maximum of two suitcases for each person plus the bag you carry inside the bus. It is easier with less luggage. Large iceboxes are not allowed. Do not carry glass containers.
  • How should I get dressed for the trip?
In the bus you can dress in a casual but always modest way. Always remember to bear testimony with your clothing. The clothes we wear should not distract the message we give. When visiting the facilities of Bethel, we must dress just as we attend the meetings (km 3/98). It suggests that you wear comfortable shoes because you walk a lot. Sisters who wear high heels will suffer after walking for 3 hours.
  • Can I make arrangements to meet with friends I have in Bethel or in the area?
Yes, but only if this does not hinder the arrangements of the trip. You have the responsibility to join us. Please notify us of your arrangements.
  • Where can I sit on the bus?
Seats are assigned on a first come first basis. If you have a health issue that requires a particular seat, please let us know. We will try to accomodate.
  • Can we bring food inside the bus?
Meals such as tacos, tamales, burritos, sandwiches, etc. are not allowed. But you can bring chips, nuts, cookies. You can bring drinks in plastic bottles with a lid. Only small coolers allowed to fit under the seat. We must keep the bus clean at all times.
  • Is there space under the bus for my purchases?
Yes there are. You should mark the packages with your name so you do not lose them.
  • How much do I bring for meals?
You should plan a minimum of $ 10 to $ 25 + for each meal. We are going to visit a variety of restaurants including fast food. In New York, the cost of food ranges from $ 25 to $ 40.
  • What about tips?
In hotels and restaurants you are responsible for the tips. If you decide to go to the Met to take a Bible tour, it is customary to tip the tour guide and we should add that it is industry standard to tip the bus driver.
  • Where should I have the things I need frequently?
These things should be up with you inside the bus and not down with the luggage.
  • Who do I contact if I have additional questions?
If you have any other questions you can contact us by email at mail@jwtrips.com or by phone at (817)607-8019
